Romney wins Guam and Northern Marianas Islands caucuses, 9 new delegates each

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney has won another island victory early Saturday morning by capturing 87 percent of the vote in the Northern Marianas Islands. For this contest, he received 9 delegates, which gives him a 259 delegate lead on former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum. 40 delegates are up for grabs in Saturday’s Kansas caucuses. Only 28 of those delegates are distributed proportionally.
After Romney’s win in Guam Friday night, he received 9 extra delegates. Here is the official release from Mitt Romney.
